Harbor, Florida, Sand Bypassing and Inlet Management
1992-94: Development of inlet sediment management plan, including nearshore disposal, sand bypassing, jetty improvements, and identification of inlet impacts upon adjacent shorelines.
1995-98: Permitting, design consultation, easement acquisition and technical liaison with Corps of Engineers to implement 2,200,000 c.y. sand bypassing (photo) and jetty sand-tightening. Engineer-of-Record for interim jetty improvements using sand-filled geotextile tubes (photo, left).
1999-05: Permitting, design assistance, liaison with Corps for permanent jetty improvements and extension. Design and permitting of dune and walkover reconstruction at south jetty. Design and permitting of sand deposition basin at south jetty pursuant to 2004 hurricane impacts.
